Secrets Of Our Earth

The opening lines of the Lion King song Circle of Life are:

This big beautiful blue marble soaring through space is our home and it is indeed a circle of life with “more to see than can ever be seen and more to do than can ever be done.” But each wide eyed new generations gives that impossible mission their best shot.

Even as we are individually and collectively the Universe’s give to the world, the earth, it is the also the Universe’s great gift to us, to explore, to enjoy, and to share.

The sweet eyes, hands, and feet of the little angel pictured above, my grandchild Emma Grace White, can hardly wait to explore it all or to at least try. I hope my generation and the several between mine and hers have not ruined it beyond repair for her and hers. And here’s hoping that her generation will grow up to be better stewards of the planet than we have been.
