My Aim Is True, Valentine

The old joke is, “Take careful aim for the fellow next to you may be barefooted.” When Cupid takes aim rest assured he hits the mark. Today is a day for lovers. Many mark this day with a bit of saddest over the thought of a lover lost, some over the hope for a lover yet to be, and yet even some sadder hearts for the lover that never was nor ever will be.

The funny sticker Valentines that Elvis Costello mentions in his song Alison are especially meant for those with heavy hearts on Valentines Day. My hope is that everyone has at least one special Valentine memory to warm their heart on this mid winter day for indeed as the poet has said, “It is far better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.”

It is never too late to find love if you are willing to risk all for it and simply follow your arrow where ever it leads. If you do, I believe that you will find as countless have before you that Cupid’s aim is always true.
