Beneath A Smiley Moon

Some believe that they were born beneath an angry star or at the very least that the moon is a harsh mistress. Though I like the song themed after that last part, I prefer to have a more positive outlook on life and am always looking for evidence of a more loving and infinite source behind the cosmos. If my working theory is correct and our higher power is indeed our higher best self, then it follows that we were all born under a smiley moon and not an angry star, but a very loving and benevolent one.

I do not take this all important position on faith alone. I have tested and proved this theory to be true in my own life. We have everyone of us known dark days and those times that as the writer says “try men’s souls.” The seed thought that began my ever expanding daily mantra is: I am so glad and grateful that everything that I could ever want or need is already mine and coming to me at just the right time and in just the right way from my loving and infinite source. Even yet some things that come my way would have me question my original premise, still on closer examination without fail they end up being proofs as well of that proposition.

As it turns out even a seemingly angry and harsh mistress can as often as not be just what the doctor ordered. Lighten up, pilgrims, and enjoy your star trek, whirling through time and space on this big blue spaceship called earth. There is a smiley moon, spinning overhead, helping us to stay encouraged and on course.
