Pure Imagination, The Inspiration That Lies Within

There is a line from an old country song that comes to mind when I look for inspiration, “Looking for love in all the wrong places.” The first place we should always look in within our own heart and mind. The vastness of the Universe is but a reflection of the kingdom of heaven within us.

This Twilight Zone of sight and sound is always open for new and evermore thrilling discoveries. People who are bored have just not made the effort to explore their inner selves. Ego says, “Look away, look there, you just missed it” to keep us forever searching in the wrong place for love, life and happiness.

The illusive butterfly of love that seems to flit from flower to flower always just out of reach is not but always at home in our heart of hearts. When Glenda the Good Witch gave the homesick Dorthy Gale directions home, telling her to click the heels of her magic slippers three times and say, “There’s no place like home” the yellow brick road and all her adventures in the Land of Oz were revealed to be but a dream from her own head and heart. That is where the best and brightest dreams always come from and lead back to.

So if you are looking for love, for happiness, for adventure, for inspiration- look no further, for it has been there all along just waiting for you to use the keys to the treasure house of your own heart and mind.
