Someday We’ll Know
The Apostle Paul wrote, “Now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.” All deceptions shall one day cease and all the mysteries shall be solved, when even the darkness becomes light. But that great day has not arrived yet, so we must continue to maneuver through this time space jungle with less than perfect understanding and try to find a few clues to guide us.
The greatest clue in our search for perfect understanding is discovering Who and Whose we truly are. William Shakespeare wrote, “Be true to thine own self and thou canst be false to no man.” Several day ago I shared in a blog the importance of our being our genuine unique self and not just a poor imitation of someone else. I am of the opinion that each one of us is in essence another facet of the wonderful brilliant diamond that is the divine. In a word, that is Who and Whose we are.
Someday we’ll know, even if we don’t know now. I close with my version of the song from which I took today’s title.
