Trust

I have heard it said that the opposite of love is not hate but fear, we hate that which we fear. Puny ego, Satan, that snake in the grass convinced the couple to fear their loving and infinite source. The enemy’s first job is always to cut our supply lines, to cut us off from our true help and reinforcement.

Jesus is quoted as using a negative expression, “Fear not, for I am with you always.” Someone told me once that the subconscious does not recognize the “no’s” or the “not’s” but misunderstands such expressions, hearing them in the affirmative I.E. “fear not” as “fear”, “I don’t want to be poor” as “I want to be poor.”

Let your yea be yea and your nay … well we are told all the promises are Yes, Yes. Most of us have thought and spoken in negative terms so long it can be quite challenging to change our thinking and speaking to only the positive.

The encouraging word for today is trust.
