This Magic Moment
I love the song and hear it often in my head that says, “This magic moment, so different and so new, was like any other until I kissed you.” I have already said that I believe that all love songs are lullabies for us to sing to that sweet Baby that lives within us, that inner child too often and too long neglected, by the only one who can sing and comfort her/him.
Right now, this present instant, is always the Magic Moment to make a difference in your life and the lives of all the others that you could and should love if you first took the time to fall in love with you. “Fall in Love” is a term that I believe is often misunderstood and misused. But, here I think it more than appropriate. That first love and all the power and lasting affection that goes with it belongs first and foremost to you. And when that inner child within you gets her fill she will be more than happy to share you with the world. Jealousy as hunger is just a sign of not getting enough and wanting more.
I saw for the second time last Sunday, The Greatest Showman, the new Hugh Jackman film full of lots of great songs and toe tapping heart lifting dance numbers. Can you believe I said that? And I’m not even gay but would be as proud as I am of my brothers to let you know it if I was. All my brothers and sisters deserve love and respect no matter whom they choose to love, no matter what any book or interpretation of it says.
But back to the movie and the moment, the lady playing the famous opera singer Jenny Lind sings a hauntingly beautify song that the real Jenny probably did not. It’s title is Never Enough. If you have not heard it, do Goggle it. You will be glad you did. Or here’s the link, just click it.
The real great story in The Greatest Showman and in this life is that the song, dance, and the circus as beautiful as they are are never meant to be enough but this moment is enough so full of love and beauty as are we and everyone if we just open our hearts and minds to see it and that first wonderful kiss that we need to be freed is our own.
