We Are All, Star Lords, And Guardians Of The Galaxy

Even those of us who can be at times what I call “Negative Nellies” or “David Downers” do still brighten the corner where we are. If we do not shine as brightly as we might that may be  because we have drawn to ourselves situations, things, and low wattage friends compared to whom we may still consider ourselves, like The Big Bang’s, Sheldon, to be the brightest light in the room and the life of the party. It is all relative really, and, no, I am not casing aspersions on your family members. Even if your mother was, well, a rich – woman or your father, a bass – fisherman you can still be a shining star and indeed you are. All of us from time to time need to turn up the volume, so to speak, so that others can really hear our song.

The great mid-late last century popular singer Jane Froman’s life story was entitled “With A Song In My Heart.” The lovely actress was portrayed by Susan Woodward in the movie. If you Google – Jane Froman with a song in my heart, you can see and hear the title song from the 1952 movie in color. Yes, youngsters, they made color movies in 1952. I turned two years old that year. I was born as Jane was and I believe all of us were with a light in our souls and a song in our hearts. Shining and singing is what we do best – two of the best ways to share our love.

I may not be as the saying goes, “The brightest bulb on the tree.” Or as the great philospher, Forest Gump said, “I may not be a smart man but I know what love is.” And love lets us shine brighter than the brightest star. Love enables us to truly brighten the corner where we are and like a baby I once read about, draw people with expensive gifts to us. Kings, or were they really firemen? Well, the little boy said they were firemen because it was said, “They came from a far.” (And “a far” is how one says ” a fire” in his neck of the woods.) Maybe, just maybe, three rich firemen were headed to the Fireman’s Ball and Annual Christmas Party that year with gifts in hand when they saw a great light and figured there might be a huge fire that needed to be put out before they continued on to the party. You know how stories can evolve over time.

Firemen or kings what really matters is that if we allow ourselves to really shine we will not have to “go into all the world” for the world will be drawn to us to bask in our light. Shine, Sunshine. Really let yourself glow, Star Lord.

Your friend, fellow traveler,

And myself with all of you, truly Star Lords and Guardians Of The Galaxy,
We’ve got the shining Infinity Stones, called Love and Joy, to prove it.
