Think On These Things

What occuppies our thoughts be it love, anger, or lust, there is but One behind those thoughts, that we can trust. I could not resist a little rhyme to start off this blog. Long before I fancied myself a writer, speaker, singer songwriter, or a teacher I saw myself as a poet and being the rhyming kind of poet I understand quite well the inspiration and the impetus behind the some what recent rap revolution. For centuries poets have been telling their truths to rhyme and the tradition continues. And whether it is Doctor Seuss’s Cat In The Hat or the hottest new rapping rhymes from the mean streets, the truth is where you find it and you will find it often has rhyme and reason behind it.

There is Something and Someone behind it all, I believe. My beliefs might seem strange to many of you. And that is fine for our beliefs, our thoughts should be unique and suited to our own personalities. One of the great problems with many religions is their “One size fits all” mentality. When does that ever really work out? Most times it ends up being too loose or too tight and seldom if ever Goldilock’s “Just right” unless we modify it to fit our own particular wants and needs. And we can and do. Behind everything is a very accommodating Universe that adapts to our wants, needs, and even preferences, to love us the way we individually can accept it.

Whatever we chose to think on, we can be sure that too is but another road that will lead us to the only One that can ever truly satisfy. As I have said before – The games is rigged, the cards are stacked but not against us. Everything is for us, working for our good. Every hear yourself say, “It is not fair.” It is not and it was never meant to be. If you or I totally mess up through a thousand life times we still win in the end for waiting at the end of every thought, every life, every choice is the One who has already made the final choice for us and it is Him.

As for freedom of choice the only real choice we get to make is how long we wander around in the wilderness, how long we pretend there is any other choice but to yield to the only One who can fill that God-shape hole inside us. Actually there is no God-shape hole inside of us for it like the entire Universe is and has always been filled with Him. That is why whatever our request, want or need, He always whispers, “Look within.” Truly: Everything we could ever want or need is already ours and is coming to us at just the right time and in just the right way from our Loving and Infinite Source.
