“Let’s Get To Work”
Often things don’t get done because we do not take care of them when the first come to our attention. Ben Franklin in his Poor Richard’s almanac pulled together many sayings that are the condensed wisdom of the ages. A particular one that comes to mind is: “A Stitch In Time Saves Nine.”
How very often it is proven to be true that taking care of the little things in a timely manner saves us from the expenditure a lot more time and effort to address a far bigger problem. We have all been guilty at one time or another of putting off till tomorrow those things we should take care of today.
Be encouraged though for life often gives us several opportunities to address the most important problems that come our way. The time and effort to address them usually grows greater and more the longer we put off.
What is that little task you have been putting off? There is no time like the present. Tomorrow never comes just hopefully another today. I can hear Grandpa Stokes’ famous line, “Let’s get to work!”
