Love In Bloom
The line from a poet that I read in my misspent youth in a fundamentalist Christian cult went:

About the same time a contemporary country singer sang:

The lyrics to the song All For the Best seem to express that I believe misguided philosophy the best:

The rich and powerful would have us believe that suffering and deprivation are our lot in life and religion and sad country songs seem to agree. I, on the other hand, think that there is more than enough to go around and that there is no excuse for a few who think they are entitled, that the are better that the rest, the best, kings annointed by God, to have it all and do whatever they please.
Rich people start wars to make themselves and their friends richer and to hold on to power. Be not deceived, “Behold the lilies of field, Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.” The emperor has no clothes.
