The Way Home

Hallmark Plus plans to air the fourth and final season of The Way Home beginning this spring. In preparation of the last season I just finished watching season one and plan to see seasons two and three before the first episode of the last season airs.

The Way Home is all about the Landry family, their triumphs and trials. On the Landry family farm that has been in the family since before 1814 there is a pond that has the ability to send them back and forward in time. As time travel adventures stories are a favorite genre of mine I have watched all three season of this series so many times that the players all seem like family to me. I have come to know them so well.

In season one Katherine (Kat Landry) returns to the Landry farm with her teenaged daughter Alice after receiving a letter from her long estranged mother Dell Landry. Alice is not happy about moving from Minneapolis to Port Haven, New Brunswick, Canada. After receiving the letter from Dell inviting them home, Kat calls her mom whom she has not spoken to in twenty years. Dell has never met her granddaughter. Though she indeed wrote the letter she had second thoughts about mailing it and threw it away so who mailed it. That is a mystery that is solved in the final episode of season one along with several others throughout the first ten episodes.

I encourage everyone who has not watched The Way Home to give it a try and see if after a few episodes you yourself do not feel at home on the Landry farm like an honorary Landry.
