Be Kind
One of the paragraphs in my daily mantra goes:
“I am healthy, I am happy, I am whole, I am patient, I am persistent, but most of all I am kind.” Am I always consistent in displaying those attitudes and behaviors? Hardly, for I am human, and a mixed bag at best, like the yin yang symbol with a little bit of darkness in my light half and a little bit of light in my dark half.
I find it much easier to be kind and tolerant of myself and others when I consider the balancing act that we are all engaged in. The words of a Gladys Knight and the Pips’ song, Friendship Train, come to mind:
“Harmony is the key for sisters and brothers.”
Be kind first of all to yourself, that will help you to be kind to all your sisters and brothers and live in harmony.
