Neighbor
The dictionary defines neighbor:

The State Farm Insurance jingle comes to mind, “Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there. One of Jesus’ parables called The Good Samaritan could also be called The Good Neighbor Parable because at the end of it he asks, “Which of the three was a good neighbor?” The answer is obvious.
Another great Jesus quote about neighbors is the two great love commandments (three really.) “You shall love the Lord, your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength and love your neighbor as you love yourself.” Much has been written about our not loving God enough, nor our neighbor, yet I think the real problem is revealed in the final phrase of the above quote: “As you love yourself.”
One of my favorite authors, Louise Hay, wrote that most of our problems stem from a lack of love for ourselves. We can love God or our neighbor no more than we love ourselves.
Neighbor, do yourself and us all a favor – “love the one you’re with.”
Your friend, fellow traveler, and neighbor,
