Magic Words

Words are symbols for the thoughts we entertain. One phrase from my daily mantra comes to me,

“May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in my sight, O Lord, my strength, my rock and my redeemer.” The creator like a great magician always speaks everything into existence out of nothing with his/her/their magic words.

By our words we create the world around us from that first spoken word, be it “daddy”, “mommy”, or more likely “no”, like magic our world becomes bigger, wider, deeper as we weave new incantations with our words.

As toddlers we are taught to use our words. And we learn fast the power of words to hurt and to heal, to create and to destroy, to discourage and to encourage. For over ten years now and over thirty-five hundred blogs it has been and continues to be my mission to use my words to entertain, to enlighten, but most of all to encourage my ever growing audience of family and friends. I love the expression: “Friends are the family we choose.”

It is the job of writers, speakers, singer-songwriters, and teachers to help us find the right words to help us create a bigger, brighter, and more beautiful world, “Where often is heard an encouraging word.”
