The Last Day of April
Today I am at the Bon Wier property again. I was here yesterday and this is the first time that I have been here two days in a row, but as I hope to one day make this my permanent residence this is just a foretaste of things to come.
I drove up a little earlier than usual and had intended to nap in the truck and get another hour of sleep before writing and posted my daily blog. Alas, I am awake to the task. I am here at Jay’s Hundred Acre Wood on a duel mission today. We have power to the property and a dandy light that lights up the entire RV Camper Trailer site that I have been working on clearing for a couple of months now. We also have municipal water run to the property, yet a power box with camper hook up and a sanitary frost-free hydrant have yet to be installed. I am here to make arrangements for both of those things to take place. I am neither an electrician nor a plumber so I will see to it that professionals take care of those items.
I was teasing my son on the phone last night that though I am no electrician that I have become quite experienced as a clothes dryer repairman having replaced the heating element I ours several times now. It has been about a year since I had to replace it, but last evening after a long drive to Bon Wier and back to Houston duty called and I got to put into practice a key point of my daily mantra:
“Whatsoever my hands find to do this day I shall do with my whole heart finding purpose in even the most menial and repetitive of tasks.”
Along that same line I will spend this the last day of April 2025 doing what I can with my own hands, allowing the Universe to do the heavy lifting as always trusting in the promise: “Ask whatsoever you will believing and you shall receive.”
Tomorrow is a new month, the lusty month of May. I think I have the thought and title for tomorrow’s blog.
Your friend and fellow traveler,
David White
P.S. Since it’s still dark. I may try that nap again.
