My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys
I believe that each of us is the hero of our own story or that we should be. Christian songstress Evie Tornquist in her mid-nineteen seventies hit song Mirror, Mirror sang “Till you find Him in the mirror you’ve got a long way to go.”
One of my recurring themes in my ten thousand blogs project called http://www.theencouragingword.co is the importance of discovering just Who and Whose we truly are.
Wille Nelson sings “My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys” and like many an American boy who grew up in the nineteen-fifties and nineteen-sixties my heroes have always been cowboys as well. Another lovely American songstress Mariah Carey sings, “There’s a hero inside of you.”
My hero is quite comfortable in cowboy boots, jeans, shirt and hat. Yee Haw.
