“We Can Live In A World That We Design”
As the dark sky begins to lighten in the east about a mile from Bon Wier, Texas over one of favorite places in the wide world, I cannot help but smile in anticipation of my weekly walk in the woods at a East Texas timber ranch that I lovingly refer to as Jay’s Hundred Acre Wood.
I am helping to make my son Jay’s dream of owning a hundred acres here come true. In about a month we hope to add another 15.5 acres to the spread bringing the total acreage including his sixty and my then thirty-one to ninety-one acres. I have made an additional offer on another 3.2 acres next to mine and Jay has his eye of a piece behind that small piece that would round out his hundred acre dream.
Well, it’s almost day light so I will finish this short blog fast by adding that in about a week I hope that my brother and sister will pick up my RV Camper and pull it to their house in Indianapolis where I hope to pick it up and pull it back to Texas this summer.
I am clearing a space to put it on the Bon Wier property. The plan is to have the hooks up at least the electric and water in place before I bring the trailer. We will take our time installing the septic tank. If we are able to secure the 3.2 acre piece it already has all three hook-ups.
This is just phase one in Jay’s and my dream of the Jay’s Hundred Acre Wood Ranch. I can already see it in all its glory.

A Million Dreams
To quote a couple another line from the above song from The Greatest Showman:
“A million dreams are keeping me awake.”
