The Perfect Valentine’s Day Gift
As a bicycling enthusiast I recently added these lines to the end of my daily mantra:
“Come dance with me,
Come walk with me,
Come ride with me,
Come fly with me,
Come.”
Yesterday, I received in the mail the little sterling silver ring pictured above. It came all the way from Malaysia so it took several weeks to arrive. Coming when it did, I consider it my Valentine’s Day gift to myself. With my dearly departed friend, self-help book author, Louise Hay, I believe that most if not all of our problems stem from a single root-cause, not loving ourselves enough. Since I discovered Who and Whose I am, I can truly answer no matter the current circumstances when any one asks, “How are you?” with a genuine knowing smile on my face, “Fine and dandy.”
I have been trying to find the perfect Valentine’s Day gift for my wife of thirty-five years, Linda Lee Stokes, the only one it seems willing to put up with my nonsense all these years and the one whose deep wet kisses and long warm hugs still make me dizzy, Miss Lizzy, after all these years. This morning I found it on Pinterest and ordered it right away. I hope it arrives in time.
