You Are Not Too Old and It’s Not Too Late.
Above is one of my favorite quotes from one of my favorite writers, C.S.Lewis. As I have said in several blogs lately I am re-reading his classic children’s book series called The Chronicles of Narnia. Lewis wrote many other books, my favorite is called The Great Divorce, and no, it is not about a couple ending their marriage, but rather about a group of people on a bus taking a day trip to heaven. Heaven is not exactly as anyone on the bus expects, still each person on the bus is met by someone they knew or of before who tries to talk them into staying and not taking the bus back to gray town. I highly recommend the book.
Most people who profess to be Christian claim that their highest goal is to go to heaven. Yet, as the old preacher aptly put it no one is talking about getting bus load of folks to go right now, other than in Lewis’s book anyway.
One of the two things that makes this life fun, exciting, and worth living are having goals and dreams to pursue. Even the writers of the U.S. Constitution noted that among the inalienable rights granted by the Creator are life, liberty, and the pursuit happiness. Achieving our goals and realizing our dreams makes us happy.
We are never too old to set a new goal or to dream a new dream. And before that puny little lying ego raises his or her usual objections see the Note to Self below:

Kissy, kissy!
