Dreams Still Do Come True
I recall that over fifty-three years ago in one of my first college courses at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where I attended briefly after getting out of the Army in August of 1971, that one of the college professors gave the class some important advice about preparing for quizzes, tests, and exams. He said, and I was listening, that instead of worrying about taking copious notes that we should listen carefully to his lectures in class paying special attention to anything he said twice for it would most assuredly be on the next quiz, test, or exam.
I think the authors of the Old and New Testaments of the Bible had that same idea in mind. One example is the repeated verses of Joel 2:28 and Acts 2:17:

Sadly most of us are just not that good at listening or perhaps we are too busy listening to the wrong voices, those negative disparaging voices that say things like: “You missed your chance, opportunity only knocks once, and you can’t do that, your too old.” I say, that is just that old lying scoundrel, ego, pushing his horse crap, for the truth is that visions and dreams have no age limitations nor expiration dates. As my beloved brother Bob puts it so succinctly, at any age we have only to “Name It, Frame It, and Claim It” to see our visions and dreams come true and become the reality of our daily lives.
As a rare snow is beginning to blanket my current and long time residence in Houston, Texas, I am reminded that “all things are possible, only believe.” A dear friend in Wisconsin always texts me “Happy Birthday” when it snows there. Today my happy birthday dream has come true “right here in Bayou City.”

Sweet dreams, Pilgrims.
