Think and Grow Rich

The title of today’s blog comes from a book about how to become materially prosperous. I think that everything that comes to us is a direct result of our thoughts, words, and actions. And may I say that all our words and actions proceed from our thoughts as well. As my friend, Mike Dooley, author of Notes From the Universe, says so aptly and so well, “Thoughts become things. Choose the good ones.”

Our poverty both material and spiritual (of the two spiritual poverty is a far greater deficiency) derive from our thoughts also. “Oh poor me” is not so much a complaint as it is a prayer, be careful what you ask for. Surely what we think comes to us and therefore we should be mindful to think and grow rich not poor.

The Psalmist wrote, “May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in Thy sight, O Lord my rock and my redeemer.” I like to change the “Thy” to “my” to show that we are co-creators in this time and space construct.

Think and grow richer not poorer.
