The Weaker Sex

Wisemen know that women are not the weaker sex. Too many men like prepubescent boys with their “He-men women haters clubs” try to act like they do not need women. But for the love and tender care of mothers, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, girlfriends, and wives fragile male egos and yes even our bodies that are when we are first born weaker than female babies would not survive in this time and space jungle.

Foolish men think that women need a man to protect them. Wise women learn early in life that men just cannot be counted on and so it is they who in most cases end up being the care givers, the support person, the people who get things done while the the men smoke cigars, drink, play golf and brag about the big business deal they made, the big fish or deer they recently caught or shot, the big house or car they just bought, the big sexual conquest they just made, or the big thing in their pants. Silly men like Texans are obsessed with how big things are. I hope Texas has the biggest turn out ever this election and that a majority of those who vote decide to turn out Senator Ted Cruz and to turn down Donald Trump’s offer to “protect women.”

What a joke those two men are. Ted Cruz allowed Donald Trump to insult his wife, his deceased father and to this day is a toady for Trump. And Donald Trump is a convicted sexual offender among his many crimes and is continually bad mouthing strong women. He is too weak a man to protect anyone.

I mentioned a famous Dirty Harry quote in a blog recently, “A man has to know his limitations.” The Father of Soul, James Brown sang, “It’s a man’s world, but it wouldn’t be nothing without a woman or a girl.” One more women quote is: “Behind every successful man is a woman.” To which I would add, “Beside him and out front gently encouraging him to take each step.”

I want my granddaughter Emma Grace to grow up in a country where women have the freedom to make choices about their own bodies, where women receives equal pay for equal work, and where a woman can be Vice President and even President of the United States of America. Let’s make it so this coming Tuesday.
