Please Don’t Be Scared

Happy Halloween, Everyone! It is a good time to remind ourselves not to be afraid of things that go bump in the night nor to allow the bumps in the road to keep us from enjoying the journey or to discourage us from reaching our goals, realizing our dreams, or manifesting our intentions.

I heard a preacher once share a conversation between an evangelist and a man who had often heard him preach. The man said, “Preacher, you are always talking about meeting the Devil. I have never seen him.” The evangelist replied, “You never meet a man when you are walking the same way he is.”

I believe that the Devil, or Satan is none other than that creature of our own design – puny little ego. Ego is a liar and the only true enemy of our souls, yet he stay out of sight and pretty quiet and unconfrontational so long as we stay in our lane and do not buck the system or try to escape the matrix as it were. So long as we believe the illusion we will not try to escape it nor ever truly know, at least in the nasty now and now, the joy unspeakable and full of glory that is our birthright .

On Halloween we have a bit of fun pretending that the world is full of ghosts and goblins, devils and demons, witches and the walking dead. But please don’t be scared into thinking that they are real. And for heaven sake and your own health, wealth, and happiness don’t listen to that liar who would paralyze us with fear and ever keep us from our goals, dreams, and intentions.
