Busy Making Other Plans

Above is a John Lennon quote from his song Beautiful Boy (Darling Boy) written to and about his youngest son, Sean. If you listen carefully at the end of the song you can hear John saying “Goodnight, Sean. See you in the morning.” That must mean a great deal to Sean when he hears it even after all these years. I can still hear my mom and dad saying, “Goodnight, sweet dreams.” to me and my little brother when we were their beautiful little boys.

Life, John says, is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans, but I think it only seems so because we are not paying close enough attention. The Intention Process says that what comes to us is drawn to us by the vibrations or intentions that we send out into the Universe. I realize that many folks think that is just New Age nonsense, but is it?

Jesus once said to some people sent to him by a Roman Centurion to ask him to heal his daughter, “Tell him that I said, “Be it unto you even according to your faith.” Faith is believing that we will receive what we ask for. That is true with not believing as well. What comes to us is what we expect which is why we should be careful what we invest our thoughts and emotional energy into.

We have inherited from our Creator the ability to create. The story goes that all there is was thought and spoken into being. That process is still going on today. Dreams still do come true and while we are busy making other plans the plans we have already made are being worked out and materialized for us by our loving and infinite source, our higher self.

Don’t believe me? Look back over your life and you will see that everything that has come to you has your finger prints all over it and was tailor-made to your own specifications. The captain of the A-Team used to say, “I love it when a plan comes together.” Don’t we all, beautiful boys and beautiful girls?
