“Don’t Confuse Me With The Facts…”

The rest of the title quote goes, “I’ve already made up my mind.” That seems very much the case with the MAGA base supporting the re-election of Donald Trump. Most if not all of those same people believe that he did not lose the 2020 election because that is the lie he was never able to prove, but continues to proclaim to this day,

Yesterday, the judge in the Federal case where Mister Trump is accused of a criminal conspiracy to overturn the 2020 election results, released the 160 page revised redacted indictment that Independent Counsel Jack Smith recently filed in her court. Trump’s team did not want the public to see this information before the election, but there it is for all to see and to read. Alas, many already have their minds made up and do not want to be confused by the facts. However, I believe that many more people are looking for an excuse not to vote Trump again, even for permission to vote Democrat.

There has been an unprecedented number of Republicans who have endorsed Kamala Harris saying it is not enough just to not vote for Trump or write-in someone else, but that to insure that he answers for his criminal conspiratorial conduct and failure to keep his oath to support and defend the Constitution that we must deny him the power of the White House ever again.

The facts of the case are presented. The genie is out of the bottle and cannot be put back in, nor should we allow Donald Trump’s Big Lie to stand. He lost the last election fair and square and unlawfully conspired to stay in power. That should disqualify him from ever holding office again. The only way he will ever stand trial is if he is soundly defeated in his bid to be re-elected this November 5th. The die is cast, we must cast our votes and make sure they count.
