The First Woman President of the United States

Pictured above is the first woman President of the United States. The United States of Mexico that is. In a little over a month I hope the election results in this country will also produce the first woman President of the United States of America, Kamala Harris.

To me it seems the right time and the right place for a woman to be CEO of this great nation. Of Ruth in the Bible it was said, “What think ye, that you were not born into the kingdom for such a time as this.” Like many men in the past who have sought the office of President in this country, Kamala Harris has been preparing for this job for a long time. She even worked at McDonald’s while attending college to help her along the way. How American is that?

I believe that it is high time that we turned the page on Donald Trump and closed that disappointing chapter of U.S. history. Vice President Harris likes to say, “We are not going back?” Nor should we. Trump borrowed a phrase from former President Ronald Reagan to be his rallying cry for the 2016 Presidential campaign, “Make America Great Again.” He meant it as an aspiration to undo the Obama years, which had replaced the George W. Bush Presidency.

In Charlottesville, Virginia during the Trump Presidency white supremacists shouted “You are not going to replace us” at a crowd protesting the Unite the Right rally before one of the white supremacist drove his car into the peaceful protestors killing one person and injuring thirty-five. Mister Trump remarked on the incident that “There good people on both sides.” Thirty six people had quite a different view of that situation.”

For years before he ran for office in 2016 Donald Trump tried to say the Barack Obama was not qualified to be President because he had not been born in the United States. It was a lie, one of many that he has told and continues too.

I recently quoted an old adage that I believe has yet to kick in for Mister Trump, “You cannot lie and get by, no matter how hard you may try.” One of the things that makes America great is that we have long upheld the freedom of the press to expose lies and liars.

For almost four years now Donald Trump has refused to admit that in 2020 he lost the election to Joe Biden. He said then and says now that the only way he could lose is if the election were rigged or stolen, the word of a felon convicted on thirty-four counts of business fraud, convicted of sexual assault, of falsifying records to hide a pay-off to a porn star, and currently indicted and charged with starting an insurrection to try to thwart the peaceful transition of power in the 2020 Presidential election. And also there is the charge of misappropriation of secret government documents that is still to be adjudicated.

Donald Trump is running for President hoping to stay out of jail. In his campaign against Hilary Clinton in 2020 he liked to start the crowds at his rallies chanting, “Lock her up.” Hilary Clinton lost the election to him and conceded, but she is still free.

On November fifth, I believe the American people will expose the con-man, the grifter, the liar, the felon, and at the same time overwhelmingly elect Kamala Harris the first woman President of the United States of America.

Ah Man and Ah Woman, Aye Women and Amen!
