I Am Holy, I Am Whole

Some years ago I came across the above pictured heart shaped medallion in a gift shop in Spring Green, Wisconsin while I was on an eighteen month work assignment there. I thought it would be an appropriate piece to carry in my pocket as a reminder of Who and Whose I am, but also that I am loved and should love and accept myself. It is a great error to assume we are ever less than holy and whole. The guilt religions would have us believe that we are “less than.”

Not true, we are not less than, but like the old Amalie Oil commercial, better than we have to be. I think we should give ourselves and others a reputation to live up to and not down to. We should always endeavor to see the highest and best in everyone including ourselves.

And so I carry in my pocket this reminder, “I am Holy, I am Whole.” And so are you my friend, therefore we should act like it.
