Visualize The Highest And Best

In the Bible account of creation the Creator’s first act of creation was the command “Let there be light.” The reasoning behind this first stroke is simple. God wanted to see his vision realized. Before anything then or now came into being it was first a thought, a mental picture in someone’s head, a visualization of what might be.
Do all visualizations manifest? If we dwell on them and imbue or infuse them with emotion, yes, they do eventually. That is at the same time a scary and wonderful thought. I am reminded of the of the old joke about the woman who went to her doctor for thirty years convinced that she had cancer only to hear him say that she did not till after her thirty-first annual check-up her doctor told her that she had cancer and she said, “See I told you.”
Some have theorized that everything that comes to us is at our own bidding. That statement reminds me of a line from Clint Eastwood’s movie Unforgiven. Where the young near-sighted Schofield Kid is remorseful at killing his first man and trying to justify the cold-blooded murder to himself and to Mundy (Clint’s character.) Trying to get drunk and numb his guilt he says to the killer William Mundy, “He had it coming.” to which Mundy replies, “We all have it comin’, Kid.”
Indeed we do, so it behooves us to visualize the highest and best coming to us. We need to think about, dwell on, imbue and infuse with emotion those things we want and not those things we do not want coming to us.
The seed thought at the core of my daily mantra says it best, I think:
“I am so glad and grateful that everything that I could ever want or need is already mine and coming to me at just the right time and in just the right way from my loving and infinite source.”
Lest anyone think I am religious, far from it. To me that loving and infinite source is none other than my highest best self. I once defined religion as people trying to make sense of things that just do not make sense. Maintaining an attitude of gratitude to me does make sense and visualizing the highest and best in everyone and everything.
We all have it coming.
