You Are So Beautiful

It is said that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. In whose eyes have you seen your beauty reflected most perfectly? I have thought often of a line that I have read and heard many times over the years. It goes something like, “He or she really sees me?”

Do you believe in love at first sight? I do for I believe that for whatever reason we are often able to see the divine nature in someone else upon first glance. Call it the God spark, our higher best self, whatever, it is the light that shines within us all, the inner beauty that far out shines that bloom that fades so quickly that shinny new pennies, babies, bunnies, puppies, kitties, and the pretty people have.

The beauty that today’s song is referring to is the inner beauty that only those paying attention can really see. “You are so beautiful to me.”
