What A Wonder World

Yesterday, as I shared some sobering facts about how the end of our journey may play out, I did not mean to say that under less than ideal circumstances this cannot still be a wonderful world. It is especially hard to watch those we love suffer, feeling powerless to help them, but we can help them and ourselves by continuing to focus on the “good” things in our lives, on what we want and not on what we don’t want.

We may be accused of “magical thinking” to suggest it, but I do believe that we create the world around us by our thoughts, words, and deeds that each foresees and foreshadows the other in order. First comes the thought, then like the Creator in the Bible Story, we speak things into existence, and lastly we show our faith and our approval of our creation by our works, our actions, our deeds.

It is not enough to see injustice, hunger, or pain and think or say “be right, be full, be well,” we cannot just stop with thought, we must speak up and out, and we must do the little things that we can do, trusting our higher best self to do the rest.

That has always been the three-step plan of creating and maintaining a better, brighter world.

See it in your mind, share it with your words, and act as if it has already arrived till it does.

Your friend and fellow traveler,

David White
