Someday We’ll Know

One of the most profound phrases ever written is, “Someday we’ll know even as we are known.” Most of us can identify with Forest Gump’s heartfelt question, “Why don’t you love me, Jenny?” It seems like the greatest injustice in all the world is when that one we have picked above all others to pour our deepest affection upon does not respond in kind. Indeed it may cause us to question if there is a benevolent being behind the universe at all or just some madman who enjoys making little creatures suffer like a bad little boy burning ants with a magnifying glass.

I believe in a loving and infinite source though I confess there is much I do not know, still I hope to someday. A song that has been a great deal of comfort to me in some of the more question-filled and trying times of my life has the following words:

We may not always agree, if we did I might begin to question yours or my own mental health. The best way to resolve questions is to keep asking them till the answers come. I have heard it said that God’s private phone number if you have any questions is Jeremiah 33:3:

In this information ages we may mistakenly think that Mister Google has all the answers, still some of the deepest more profound questions are beyond Mister Google and Wikipedia’s vast database. I do however believe that we have a direct connection to the Universe through that still small voice within us that is more ready to answer us than we are to ask.

Questions, anyone?
