Saved The Best For Last

Today’s song made famous by the lovely songstress Vanessa Williams who had the courage to reinvent herself after losing the title of Miss America over some youthful mistakes is one that speaks to the heart. I am determined to stick with this life to the last for I have already been surprised by joy so many times.

Just when you think it could not get any better it does. My motto and personal mantra has long been, “I am so glad and grateful that everything that I could ever want or need is already mine and coming to me at just the right time and in just the right way from my loving and infinite source.”

It is a recurring theme in all the great stories that the best dreams seldom come true immediately but more often it is only after a certain amount of struggling, of pressing on, of overcoming obstacles and disappointment that our best and brightest dreams come true.

We maybe tempted to flip to the end of the book, read the ending ahead of time, and thereby cheat ourselves out of the sweet surprise. Our loving and infinite source has so much in store for us. The promise is, “In due season we shall reap if we faint not.” Just as daybreak always follows the darkest night so the highest and best is always waiting to be revealed at just the right time.
