Today’s song is one of my favorite George Strait love songs. As often as I have sung it over the years my tongue still gets a little tangled as I sing the chorus, “On a hidden beach under a golden sun, we spread a blanket that we lay down on and loved the world away in Marina Del Rey.”

The writer of Proverbs expressed his wonder at three things, no four, that he thought confounding and wonderful.

I hope everyone has such a wonderful, wonderful moment to look back to or perhaps to look forward to.

I have always been more of a mountain top person than a beach person but whether one experiences “wonderful, wonderful” on a hidden beach, on a mountain top, in a penthouse suite, or in a cabin in the woods, the place is not nearly so important as the person with whom we share those intimate moments.

Close your eyes and remember that wonderful embrace beholding again the look of love on that unforgettable face sharing together one of those eternal moments while “loving the world away.”
