How Does A Moment Last Forever

Life, I believe, is not measured in years, months, and days so much as in forever moments. It is those precious and everlasting moments that define us, haunt our dreams, and inspire our deepest desires.

Today’s lovely song asks the question, “How does a moment last forever?” And then answers it, “When our song lives on.” My songstress daughter, Emily Elaine White, has been gone almost twelve years, yet her song lives on in the hearts of all those who knew her and loved her. Her brief thirty-two years were filled full of forever moments. I am so glad that I got to be her dad.

I sincerely believe that we are travelers in time and space and that it is possible for us to experience in a moment the eternal weight of glory, to know beyond a shadow of a doubt just Who and Whose we truly are. In those defining and eternal moments we are awake to all the possibilities and know even as we are known that our song, our love, will forever live on no matter what.
