Meet Samantha 1904 – Chapter 5

“Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” Those words attributed to Jesus similarly expressed by many other wise philosophers and teachers over the years came to mind as I read the line in Chapter 5 today “Let me show you my treasure.”

A couple of days ago I finally got around to adding a picture to my smart phone so that people that I call or text will have a picture along with a name when I call. Since some time ago I asked Siri to call me “Baby.” The picture fits quite well in that regard also.

The newest little treasure in our family Emma Grace has grown quite a bit since this picture was taken, but this one will always be a special one for me. Like my own precious little girl Emily Elaine, Emma had my heart as soon as I knew she was on the way. I wish Emily who passed just after her thirty second birthday eleven years ago had gotten to be an Auntie Em to Emma. They would have both loved that and I the interaction between the two. I will do my best to make sure that Emma gets to know all about her Auntie Em and gets to hear her sing.

I am attaching a link to one of my favorites, recorded just a few months before she died. Emily knew what true treasure is and she loved babies and knew that there is a baby in all of us that needs to be loved and treasured. True, true.
