1854 Meet Kirsten – Chapter 3

In barely more than a couple of weeks now I will conclude the two hundred and ninety-six readings in my David Reads Children’s Books project. But you might have noticed that with A Wrinkle In Time that I began to stray from being tied to the content or context of the reading in my blog comments. One of the most freeing aspects of doing a daily blog is being free to explore whatever subjects comes to me.

This morning as I began to search for a particular thread of thought to pull on and unravel. The words of one of my wife and my favorite songs came to me. It is a lovely song from Disney’s live-action Sleeping Beauty sung by Celine Dion – “How does a moment last forever? How does a story never die? It is love we must hold onto, never easy but we try.”

Some years ago I read of someone trying to describe the essence of life as “living in the eternal moment.” That is the kingdom of heaven within us all and it is love. And true love and our part in this story never dies but lives on.
