Pop Goes The Weasel, London Is Bridges Falling Down, Row Row Row Your Boat

Today is Three-for Saturday with three children’s songs. The first two deal with the stark realities of getting enough to eat and staying healthy, but the last speaks to rowing gently with the current of life realizing that it is really a dream of our own choosing and making. Someone has said that we only start to wake up when we begin to own our experiences and take responsibility for all that has happened in our lives.

I used to joke that that children should only be allowed to blame their parents for all their problems for a few years after they leave home because after that the onus is on us. Yet, I have come to believe that in a place apart before this adventure began we chose our parents and all the cast of characters in this dream, this play. It is a dream entirely of our own design.

On with the show. In the event that we share no other scenes together I will see you at the cast party after the final act.
