The Three Little Minions

Today for Halloween I have a not so nice fairy tale for you, a tale-off on the classic three little pigs tale. It is a bedtime story aimed at convincing the three little minions to do their very best on their next mission. It is not your usual motivational presentation.

After all the data that supports the premise that the carrot produces far better and consistently improved performance than the stick still many bosses employ the latter more often than the former. Perhaps another adage is true about how hard it is to teach an old dog new tricks.

This is something bosses might especially think about as thousand and thousand of little minions go door to door tonight yelling “Trick or Treat.” Company negotiators trying to deal with with striking employees might as well. I am not so sure about flies, but you do get more kids and happier employees with honey and more money than with vinegar.

Enough cliches and fractured fairytales for today. Have a Happy Halloween.
