Nighty Night Little Green Monster
My dear Wisconsin friend, Debra Durst, is celebrating her birthday today. She faithfully reads my daily blog so I am making this one a surprise birthday gift to her and hopefully all who read it. Deb has given me many gifts over the years that we have known one another, the greatest being her friendship . I know better than to try to out give her.
One of the most special gifts Deb gave me was sharing one of the most special gifts in her life, her granddaughter Amelia. Deb has sent me countless pictures and shared every special time together in Amelia’s life. It was Deb that had me read all these children’s books and record them for her Amelia.
I plan to return this special gift by sharing them with my granddaughter Emma and her with Deb and Amelia. Amelia calls Emma her Texas Baby.

Amelia of Appleton, Wisconsin, Deb’s pride and joy

When I think of Amelia and Emma, my lovely and loving wife Linda, my dear friend Deb, and all the girls and women who have touched my life I can hear Maurice Chevalier singing, “Thank heaven for little girls for without them what would little boys do?” The obvious answer: We’d be totally lost and as lonely as Adam before Eve arrived on the scene.
Happy Birthday Deb, this one’s for you.
Your friend and fellow traveler,
David White
