The Wonder Wizard of Oz – Chapter 14
Today Dorothy misses her ride home in the Wizard of Oz’s big beautiful balloon. Like many my first visit to Oz was via the 1939 Judy Garland movie. I had seen it annually several years before as a first time dad I read the Wonderful Wizard of Oz to my daughter Emily. She loved the book even better than the beloved movie and so did I for it is richer, fuller, and contains so much that they were not able to put in a single movie, a ten-part mini-series perhaps, but not one feature-length film.
As there are yet several chapters remaining, hold on to your hats. Though Dorothy misses the balloon there is magic yet awaiting to take her and Toto home to Kansas. Tomorrow the story continues.
