Give Thank You A Try

Best selling novelist James Patterson is also the author of a number of children’s books. Two of the more popular ones teach children the importance of saying Please and Thank You. I recall as a child that these three “magic words” open hearts and doors for me. I believe that the words we choose matter and that as Leonard Cohen’s song Hallelujah says that there’s a blazing light in every word.

In the Thousand And One Arabian Nights tale about the secret cave where Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves hid their treasure the secret words that opened the cave’s hidden door were “Open, Sesame.” Please, and Thank You are words that open up the treasures of this time and space jungle to us all.
