Tell Me About Your Day Today
I especially enjoyed reading today’s children’s book because I believe for all the who, the what, the why, and the way that today has a way of always turning out okay. I believe that maintaining an attitude of gratitude for the good things that come to us even on our worst days helps them to turn out better than okay.
I try to remember that when anyone asks, “How are you?” Or “How was your day today?” That they are not asking for a litany of my trials and troubles nor the the Perils of Pauline and so I try to always reply, “Fine and dandy” and if pressed to explain my remark I count my blessings one by one to them.
I think of the bedtime song, “When I’m tired and I can’t sleep, I count my blessings instead of sheep. And I fall a sleep counting my blessings.”
Sweet dreams or ours for the choosing and made to share.
Your friend and fellow traveler,
David White
