Be Yourself!

When asked by the great love of his life, Jenny, once when he came to visit her at the girl’s college she attended, “What are you going to be?” Forest replies, “Aren’t I going to be me?” The simple wisdom of that answer echoed in my heart when I first read today’s children book a few years ago.

Sometimes we misguidedly think we need to act like someone else to please others or to be the best version of ourselves, but as another wise guy once wrote, “Be true to thine own self and thou canst be false to no one.”

Be yourself and rest assured that no one else can do that better than you. It is the role you were born to play.
