A Bell For The Cat

Today my country celebrates a great idea that our founding fathers had to dissolve the political bonds that kept the U.S. colonies under the rule of the Mad King George. We have had leaders in our in our 147 history since declaring our independence that have made decisions that bordered on madness but except for our Civil War that took place four score and ten years (90 years) from the birth of our nation, we have always settle our differences at the ballot box and in the three branches of government established by our constitution.

Today some are concerned about a particular fat cat that we turned out at the ballot box in November of 2020 coming back with his craziness. For years people have been coming up with ideas on how to tie a bell on that cat. I believe Mister Trump is running for his life this time because he knows the only way to avoid prison is getting elected President again so he can pardon himself for his past missteps.

Today there are some in this country who still long to be ruled by a Mad King to and who are still yelling “Lock her up” instead of the more timely and appropriate “Lock him up.”
