A Sticky Situation

I had never heard today’s story before I first read it in Shari Lewis’s One-Minute Bedtime Stories four years ago. Though not as widely known as the more famous golden goose from Jack and the Beanstalk this magic golden goose brings it’s owner, a young man named Dumling, the hand of a princess and a seat next to her on the throne.

President Ronald Regan had the reputation of being the Teflon President because none of the charges brought against him seemed to stick. The rich and powerful seem to get away with anything. Former President and would be President again Donald Trump famously said in his 2016 campaign that if he shot someone on the street in New York his numbers would still go up.

A few days ago I quoted the adage, “You cannot do wrong and get by no matter how hard you may try.” Mister Trump once wrote a book called The Art Of The Deal and some of his fans think he should write another called The Art Of Getting Out Of Sticky Situations. Others not so enamored by him think he may have finally killed his golden goose. We shall see.
