Turquoise Boy
Today’s children story book reading, Turquoise Boy, is the third of three stories from the First People’s perspective. I have a dear friend in Wisconsin, Deb, who believes that many things, good and bad, come in threes. She says when something good or bad happens, “Watch for two more similar things to occur and soon.
I have often heard people use the expression when some mishap comes their way that they are waiting for the other shoe to drop. Some people think life is all about good luck or bad luck. I think it is more about perspective than fate or predestination. I believe that there is always at work in our lives the law of attraction which simply put means that we are always sending out a certain vibration and that like attracts like.
In my daily blog one of the things I say is, “May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in my sight, O Lord, my strength, my rock, and my redeemer.” I believe that we create our fate by the thoughts we dwell upon and the words we say. Our today is the result of yesterday as our tomorrow will be of our today.
Want to change your luck, your fate, your future? Think a new thought, use your imagination, and guard your lips from repeating negative things, speaking only what is acceptable in your own sight and watch the world change around you.
Many religious people believe that the Bible verse that says, “Ask whatsoever you will believing and you shall receive” is a promise.
I believe it is a law and that the Universe hears the thoughts we dwell upon and the words we say again and again and moves heaven and earth to make them come true in our lives. Another thing people says is, “Be careful what you wish for.” I would modify that only slightly as I did the piece I quoted above from my daily mantra. I would say, “Always be mind of the thoughts you think and words you say” for realizing that Who and Whose you are is a child of the Universe, be aware that you we created to create. The legend and legacy continues.
