An Adventure in Space and Time
If we simply accept whatever happens, whatever comes to us, without meditating on, praying about, intending to make, thinking of, or imagining a better world we will by default live in a world that others have made for us. We will be bit players in their productions and not stars of our own show as was our original plan when we co-wrote the script and screen play for this experience that is our life.
“What is life?” (As the old joke goes that answers that question says.)
“It is a magazine.”
“How much does it cost?”
“Three bucks.”
“That’s too much.”
“That’s life!”
Jokes aside, I believe that life is as the title of this piece implies “An Adventure in Time and Space.” Much like the holographic deck on the Star Trek Next Generation star ship life as we experience it is a construct of our own thoughts, of our own design if you will. The only reality is that which we create, the only truth (at least for us) is what we think, what we believe. If as the childhood chorus says, “Life is but a dream” it is a dream of our own design unless we through neglect or inattention give that power over to others. What comes to you as the quote from Buddha today’s says is what you think, feel, and imagine. Or as my buddy Mike Dooley writes to thousands of people on his week day Notes From The Universe email, “Thoughts become things, choose the good ones.” After all this is your adventure in space and time enjoy it to the max.
