Sing Me A Song
One of the great loves of my life (She like most of the women I have known in my life, beginning with my mother, wants to believe that she is “the” great love of my life. Sorry, even God in the limited three part version does not have that honor but in the all encompassing Universal four-fold version He/She/You/Me does. I case you did not follow that, “I Am” the great love of my life.) I believe I just topped my all time record for long parenthetical phrases. Where was I? Oh, yeah, one of the great loves of my life has helped me to think of myself as a good singer by frequently asking, “Sing me a song.” She even bought me my first karaoke machine so I could practice. She thinks that I want to sing to and be adored my all the beautiful women in the world (That is probably true) but every time that I sing a love song I think of her. And yeah, Marilyn Monroe, and all the other pretty girls, at least the ones I have met or seen but always her too.
With the recent acquisition of a newer more capable karaoke machine and a new Apple I Pad I do not need a sound studio to produce songs with musical accompaniment. I am still working on linking the songs to blogs properly but I can already email or text them to friends that I have contact information on, and please hold those belly laughs till I finish. If I ever sing you a song and you would prefer I not do that ever again just say so and I will please others with my improving vocal talents instead. I wrote it before and I write it again -I am a better singer every day in every way. Substitute anything you like for singer, like writer, speaker, song writer, teacher lover, friend or attributes like wealthy/wealthier, healthy/healthier, handsome/handsomer, pretty/prettier and see if you do not begin to see it actually happening in your life. It is the law – we get what we insistently ask for. If what is coming to you is not what you really want check the messages you are really sending out.
Is that not exactly the way to approach this life – as a continual improvement process or even better yet just discovering daily through trial an error that we are and have always been “a magnificent being awakening to our highest potential.” Next time some one says to you “would you speak for us”, “dance for us please”, or “sing for me”, I do not know about you, but I plan to be ready to give it a go, to give them a show they will never forget. Elvis is in the building.
