Three Other Accounts
Successful businesses usually have many customer accounts but to keep control of money coming in and going out, they have accounts receiveable and accounts payable accounts. In addition businesses usually have several other money managing accounts. One such account that I encourage everyone to keep whether in a lock box, envelope, or a tin can in the back yard is a cash account I call it “My FU Money Stash.” Not for any particular reason or purpose other than just to have it and to be able to say FU to the bankers, the finance companies and insurance companies, credit card companies, and others whose goal is to make themselves rich always at our expense loaning money at high interest rates that even loan sharks would once have blushed to charge.
I would like to discuss with you three other accounts that I think important for companies and indiviuals to keep. One I call, “My Capital or Investment Account” this is where I deposit funds trying to grow an account large enough to capitalize on those good and rare opportunities that come along to invest and turn a tidy profit in a very short time. I do not recommend banks, annuities, the stock market anymore than I do casinos, horse or dog racing, or the lottery as I believe all to be unsound investments that profit the “House” or the brokers far more than the investors. One should I think put their investment money not where someone else’s mouth is but where there is the highest rate of return and shouuld always avoid surrendering the responsibility and stewardship of their money entirely to someone else. Also putting ones money in just one basket is never a good idea.
Along with your FU Cash Stash account and your Capital Investment account every caring individual should also start what I like to call “My Compasion Account” in which there is always a reserve from which to draw to “Help a brother or sister out (Interest free and expecting the Universe to pay it back and not the person helped.) It is one of the finest ways to give back and keep the “Flow flowing.”
Lastly another account that if you handle the others right you may never need I call “My Rainy Day Account” where you puy a little aside from all that comes in for taking care of emergency and unplanned expenses. As I said if you handle those other accounts correctly you might want to call this one, “My Savings For That Paris Or Other Dream Vacation Account.”
There is no accounting for tastes but then always plenty for the one who takes care of accounts and money never wastes. I wrote that little ditty for me.
Your friend and fellow traveler,
Current rich man, former poor man,
And thief of hearts…
